HOW I GOT HERE

Physician → Investor → Entrepreneur

Hi, I’m Dr. Steve.

I’m a physician turned investor turned entrepreneur — but at my core, I’ve always been a builder. From a young age, I’ve been drawn to solving real-world problems, not just working within systems, but finding ways to improve them.

For years, I practiced medicine while also investing in real estate. Through that experience, I began working closely with contractors — plumbers, electricians, roofers, and HVAC companies. These were skilled professionals who took pride in their work, but I started noticing a pattern that kept repeating itself.

The Moment I Noticed the Real Problem

While they were busy doing the job, their phones were ringing — and no one was answering.

When I asked about it, the response was almost always the same: “I’ll just call them back.”

That approach may have worked years ago, but it doesn’t reflect how people make decisions today. Modern customers expect speed. They reach out, and if they don’t get a response, they simply move on to the next option.

Over time, I came across data that confirmed what I was already seeing firsthand: a significant percentage of calls go unanswered, and most people won’t leave a voicemail. That means opportunities aren’t just delayed — they’re lost entirely.

The Industry Was Solving the Wrong Problem

What stood out even more was how the industry addressed the problem. The default advice was to generate more leads — to treat it as a volume game. But that never made sense to me. If a business is already missing opportunities it has, increasing volume only increases what’s being lost.

That’s when it became clear that this wasn’t a marketing issue — it was a systems issue.

Most businesses don’t have a reliable way to respond the moment an opportunity appears. Calls, messages, and inquiries come in throughout the day, after hours, and on weekends. Without the right infrastructure in place, even well-run businesses struggle to keep up.

That realization led to the creation of the Revenue Capture System™.

Instead of focusing on generating more demand, I focused on building a system that ensures existing demand is handled properly. One that answers instantly, responds consistently, captures key information, and helps convert inbound opportunities into booked jobs — without relying on someone always being available.

Today, I work with local business owners to help them strengthen this part of their business — not by adding more complexity, but by putting the right systems in place to support how customers actually behave.

What I Believe

I believe most businesses already have more opportunity than they realize — they just don’t have the infrastructure to capture it consistently.

I believe speed isn’t just an advantage anymore; it’s a deciding factor in who wins the job.

And I believe that building the right systems creates leverage — allowing businesses to grow without relying on more effort, more hours, or more staff.

A Few Things About Me

Outside of business, I value discipline, consistency, and staying active. I respect tradesmen and business owners who show up every day and do the work — they are the backbone of the economy.

And in everything I build, I’m focused on creating solutions that are practical, effective, and grounded in real-world experience.
